HBIS Tangsteel clearly puts forward the development ideas on its non steel business as“refine steel business, enlarge non-steel business, diverse development in a moderately way, and seek for continuous innovation”. In the development process of non-steel business, HBIS Tangsteel sticks to the principles as: one center, two resources, three main leads, and four footstones. “One center” means HBIS Tangsteel develops non-steel business moderately centered on steel business ; “two kinds of resources” means tocontrol inside resources and develop social resources; “three main leads” means to set up the financing platform and extend the upstream and downstream industrial chain; “four footstones”e means to optimize the industrial structure, make investment scientific, improve management and innovate mechanism and system.

Through exploration and practice for many years, non steel business of HBIS Tangsteel shows a great leap forward development both in quality and quantity, which offers great support for HBIS Tangsteel’s leaping development in difficult circumstances. HBIS Tangsteel in total has 25 non-steel units being divided into 6 parts: steel products deep processing and large logistics, resource exploitation and comprehensive utilization, equipment manufacturing and engineering technical service, chemical industry, real estate and education. The major businesses include: equipment manufacturing, renewable resources utilization, metallurgical flux, coking and coal chemical industry, engineering technical service, real estate development, steel processing and sales, logistics industry and medical care, education and service industry. Until June of 2015, employees working for non steel business are 15600, and the non-steel asset totals 17.95 billion RMB.

In the future, being lead by the strategy of “Made in China 2025” and coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, the non-steel will depend on the advantages of transportation and industrial basis, focus on the new industry, “Internet Plus” projects, and sales network building, and speed up the improvement of logistics, distribution, and equipment manufacturing  to improve the non-steel business quality in an all-around way.
